Top 4 Apps for Mental Health Professionals in the US

Take it from one app to another; this month we’re sharing our top 5 apps for mental health professionals in the US. As you may well know, we’re all about streamlining and working smarter with our time – not harder – therefore, it should come as no surprise then that many of these apps make life easier for clinicians. So while we focus on taking the stress out of continuing education certificates, credits and state licensing, these apps assist with the daily runnings of private practice.

1. Todoist

When we came across Todoist and saw their line of “from overwhelmed to on top of it”, we knew that this was an app with the same mindset at CE Hub. Todoist assists clinicians in staying organized and making sure that everything is accounted f=or. It helps you delegate by sharing the workload with other clinicians or assistants within your group practice. It also gives you a clear visual overview of what you need to do, offering you a centralized workspace. It also integrates with many other apps like Zapier, Amazon Alexa, Outlook and IFTTT, to name but a few.

2. DSM-5® Diagnostic Criteria App

A ‘must-have if you ask us, as we’d much prefer to have everything you need in the palm of your hand, as opposed to in many books and files. The DSM-5® Diagnostic Criteria Mobile App is designed to help mental health practitioners, researchers, and students fully integrate the new DSM criteria and codes into their practice and studies. Users have full offline access to all of the criteria sets and online access to supporting videos, commentary and resources. Powerful search and customization tools aid and enhance assessment of symptom presentations in various clinical and administrative settings.

3. Apa Monitor+

Developed by the American Psychological Association, the Apa Monitor+ app keeps mental health professionals in the know with what’s the latest in the world of psychology. The app features articles, podcasts, news and much more! As a fellow app that’s saving trees and piles of paperwork, this app knows exactly how to be kinder to the environment.

4. uDictate: Medical Legal & Professional Dictation

Sadly, this app is only available on iOS devices, but nonetheless, we had to include it. As the name suggests, uDictate is a dictation app for mental health professionals. However, legal professionals can also use it. It has an intuitive user interface and allows clinicians to record transcriptions for 24 hours uninterruptedly. The dictation file can be saved in various formats such as PCM, AAC, IMA4 and can be tagged as rush or urgent. Files can also be sent securely anytime, anywhere via Dropbox, FTP or email. A bit like our CE Hub app, which allows clinicians to save their CE certificates as pdfs and share via email.
